Saturday Linkstuff, You're Doing It Again?, Edition
A friend of mine, a while ago, said he liked reading my blog … except for the weekly links posts I do! When I asked him why, he said, 'there's no way I'm going to check out all those links. It's a pain.' I thought to myself, you're missing out on a lot of great posts. I try to do go a good job on my blog, but there are so many other great ideas and points of view worth reading every week plus many of the people out there are much smarter than I am.
There are literally thousands of blogs on the web including those in the field of personal finance alone. I casually read over 50 blogs and consistently read about 25 of them on a daily basis. Let's just say, there's a lot of great content out there.
So, each week I like to share a few great posts because they're worthy of not being missed.
Which brings me to Carnivals, which is a collection of similar posts and hosted on a different blog each week. Bloggers like myself submit their posts and if they're chosen, they are posted on the host blog. Part of the agreement of having a post chosen is that we have to link back and mention the host blog and Carnival.
What makes me share a post? Generally, if it's something I never thought of (or wish I had written) or if it's relevant to personal finance or simply amusing, I like to link to it. I usually keep the links to under 10 due to time constraints. Link and be merry! That's my motto.
Anyways, enough explanation … here are some great posts from some pretty smart people:
The Secret About Money at Blue Print for Prosperity – a collage of personal finance images. A visual treat!
I Will Teach You to be Rich Review at Budgets are Sexy
What If Your Spouse Isn't on the Same Page Financially by BluntMoney – a very common problem with many couples.
Giving Up on Your Career by Brip Brap – I think we've all had these feelings. I have them everyday …
Active Management vs Index Shootout at Canadian Capitalist – a comparison of actively managed mutual funds to index funds.
Sell Then Buy by Free From Broke – definitely a great idea to sell your house first before and then buy a new one after.

And finally, here are some Carnivals from this week:

@FFB Absolutely. These posts are a bit of work, but they're worth it and I'll keep doing them ... even if some people don't like them. ;)
